About

As a full time graphic designer, I started Finch out of necessity to step away from a computer and create handmade, small batch, high-quality items.

The name pays homage to Iowa’s state bird and my grandma, an artist who creates under the name WhippleBirds. Growing up around her has always made me appreciate the time, effort, and skill that goes into creating things by hand. It has taught me to create with the intention of utility and longevity in all things.

Finch Stitch houses everything handmade—with a focus mainly on leather, denim and canvas goods. For wholesale and custom work, 5% of every project is directly donated to plant some trees across the US.

Finch Earth is where I'll be giving back to the planet. As the team grows, we'll organize group hikes, state park/highway clean ups, and community get-togethers. Aside from donating a percentage from wholesale and custom projects, we'll work with companies to plant some trees locally. While climate action on a much larger scale is necessary to effectively take care of our planet, keeping our local community clean is also important and encourages others to respect it.

I'm excited to create for you and see how FINCH changes and adapts as we grow and learn new things. It’s going to be a good time.

Thanks for following along from the start!
